Puck Dumps 2/28/14

Through February, now there is only a month and a half left of the regular season.

The Top Line

The trade deadline is right around the corner. Here is some chatter. NBC, Sports Illustrated, The Sporting News, TSN

New York Islanders 5, Toronto 4 (OT) – This is the type of game that makes me wish Schultz and Loser Domi were still around.

New York Rangers 2, Chicago 1  – Pretty good night for the Big Apple.

San Jose 7, Philadelphia 3 – Everyone who scored for the Sharks scored at least 2, even Raffi Torres.

Montreal 6, Pittsburgh 5 (OT) – The state of Pennyslvania allowed 13 goals last night.

New Jersey 5, Columbus 2 – Pretty good night for places that claim to be from New York too.

Detroit 6, Ottawa 1 – The Red Wings earned a hat trick from Johan Franzen to upend Ottawa.

Washington 5, Florida 4 – Alexander Ovechkin has 41 goals this season.

Nashville 3, Tampa Bay 2 – I can't imagine what it would be like if Nashville ended up with an elite goal scorer, and meanwhile, that's all the Lightning ever have.

Winnipeg 3, Phoenix 2 (OT) – Three games went to overtime last night, none went to a shootout. That is awesome.

Dallas 4, Carolina 1 – Caolina lost to Buffalo on national television a couple of nights ago. It will take a while to recover.

Los Angeles 2, Calgary 0 – The Kings don't actually belong to Dwight King, do they?

Minnesota 3, Edmonton 0 – Good show last night, Alberta.
