Puck Dumps 1/10/14

I can only hope that your weekend is as magical as your week was.

The Top Line

Nobody is REALLY talking about the same thing, but two sites have Sidney Crosby front and center. ESPN, Sports Illustrated

Scoreboard

Florida 2, Buffalo 1 (SO) – Hey, great job, hockey players.

New Jersey 1, Dallas 0 – I don't remember, is New Jersey still trapping?

Carolina 6, Toronto 1 – John Michael Liles scored for the Hurricanes, against the Maple Leafs, and that makes me feel better about the world.

Washington 4, Tampa Bay 3 – Gary Bettman flinched when he heard that Fehr had two big scores last night, before realizing people were talking about Eric.

Anaheim 4, Nashville 3 – If they played in a bigger market than Los Angeles, there might be more buzz about Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

St. Louis 5,Calgary 0 – The Blues suck without Steen.

Minnesota 4, Phoenix 1 – Turns out, all Minnesota needed to right their ship was injuries to Zach Parise, Jared Spurgeon, Mikko Koivu and Josh Harding while taking a difficult road trip and not shooting the puck. Add Justin Fontaine joins Ryan Suter as recent hat trickers We all know nothing about hockey.

Los Angeles 4, Boston 2 – Hey, I know these guys. This balances out the Florida-Buffalo mess, I think.

San Jose 4, Detroit 1 – This seems like it should be a biffer deal than it is. Alas, Detroit isn't good.

If you have always wanted to see Denver, but have never actually wanted to go there (probably because of Adrian Dater), then this is the post for you.
