Happy New Year friends! Let's watch some outdoor hockey and recover from our hangovers
The Top Line
New Jersey 2, Pittsburgh 1 – I guess even the Penguins lose sometimes.
New York Rangers 2, Florida 1 (SO) – The Rangers have a chance to get above .500, and this is how they do it. ASAS
St. Louis 2, Minnesota 1 – This might have been the last game for coach Mike Yeo, but gosh darn it if the Blues aren't really good.
New York Islanders 5, Boston 3 – Looks like someone put a nickel in the Islanders. 2 games in a row with 5 goals. 3 for Tavares.
Carolina 5, Montreal 4 (OT) – The Hurricanes had a furious comeback, down 3-0 going into the 3rd. Alexander Semin had the game winner. He's still in North America!
Winnipeg 3, Buffalo 0 – It's pretty bad when even Winnipeg is picking on you, Buffalo.
Anaheim 6, San Jose 3 – California is the best hockey state, and Anaheim is the best hockey team.
Dallas 3, Los Angeles 2 – Tyler Seguin has 20 goals on the season. As Inspector Gadget might say: wowzers.
Colorado 5, Columbus 3 – The fatal flaw in realignment is fewer games between the Avs and Blue Jackets.
Philadelphia 4, Calgary 1 – The Flyers win in the Saddledome. Underrated name for a building.
Phoenix 4, Edmonton 3 (OT) – Don't worry, Edmonton, 2013 is over. Nice work by Keith Yandle who put the Oilers year to bed with a game winner, his second goal of the game.
