TGIF! (That guy is fired)

The Top Line

Kevin Dineen, specifically, was "that guy". The Florida Panthers let him go this morning, ESPN , NBC, Sports Illustrated, TSN, CBC, NHL.Com The Local Take

Scoreboard

Carolina 1, New York Islanders 0 – Vanek!

Washington 3, Minnesota 2 (SO) – Brandon Holtby stood on his head in this one. ASAS

New York Rangers 4, Columbus 2 – The Rangers are coming around. They even won this game on the road. Amazing!

Ottawa 4, Montreal 1 – Robin Lehner shut down the Canadians. I'm torn on whether to go with a "Batman" joke or a "Robin is a girl name" joke.

Boston 4, Florida 1 – The straw that broke the Dineen camel's backk.

New Jersey 3, Philadelphia 0 – Question: For thse that watched the game, who long did you have to shower before you felt clean?

Tampa Bay 4, Edmonton 2 – A battle of two teams that have been in the Cup Finals more recently than the Montreal Canadiens.

Dallas 4, Detroit 3 (OT) – The Stars took a surprise win from the Red Wings in Detroit, despite the play making efforts of Henrik Zetterberg.

St. Louis 3, Calgary 2 – The Blues scored the first three before the Flames tried to make it more interesting. Alex Steen with another goal, which is nuts.

Vancouver 4, San Jose 2 – The Sharks are really struggling after their embarrassing if controversial loss to the Sabres. They might not win another game this season. Definitely not in the playoffs.

Los Angeles 2, Buffalo 0 – The Kings will have no such problem.
