We are almost a full month into the season. Does that mean anything to you?
The Top Line
Phoenix 5, Edmonton 4 – The early game. The Matinee. Did you watch?
New Jersey 4, Boston 3 – The Bruins scored three in the first, and then it was all New Jersey, which sounds like a terrible fate.
Toronto 4, Pittsburgh 1 – Proving that Canada is better than America. Crap.
San Jose 2, Montreal 0 – Or maybe not. But Logan Couture is from Canada, and he scored both goals! I'm so confused.
New York Rangers 3, Detroit 2 (OT) – A road win in Detroit might be what the Doctor ordered.
Tampa Bay 3, Buffalo 2 – The Sabres are nothing without John Scott and Patrick Kaleta. I mean, they are nothing with them too, but whatever.
Philadelphia 5, New York Islanders 2 – Vincent Lecavalier had a hat trick for the Flyers, causing many people to say "Oh yeah, Lecavalier plays for the Flyers now).
Winnipeg 2, Dallas 1 (SO) – Divisional rivals locked in a tight battle. Yeah, they are indeed in the same division. ASAS.
Minnesota 5, Chicago 3 – Jason Pominville is working out famously for the Wild.
St. Louis 6, Nashville 1 – Look away, kids.
Calgary 5, Washington 2 – Mike Cammalleri with two goals. Mike Cammalleri is better than Ovechkin.
